On June 26, 2006 Dale Walters was killed in a highway accident while driving near Glenns Ferry, Idaho.
Dale spent many years in the construction industry, as a skilled carpenter and concrete contractor. In 1991 he chose to pursue his art full-time. He would load up his van with his work, hit the road, and arrive in a new city every weekend and share his vision of the world. He collected unique images and new friends everyday on the backroads and small towns as he crisscrossed his way across the American landscape. Dale was a true free-spirit, and a friend to all. He was never judgmental and always there when help was needed. He leaves behind a loving family, and a list of friends that most of us could never imagine. Dale will be truly missed, and his place in our lives will never be forgotten.
