January 31 2004 - First day of the Art Festival, started out with good crowd but by 1:00 in the afternoon it was starting to rain. I've never seen that many umbrellas open up at a show before.

January 30 2004 - This afternoon was setup time for the art festival, my setup time was after six, and I didn't get out of there until one in the morning.

January 29 2004 -  Left Naples today and headed on up the coast towards MT. Dora for my next Art Festival. Along the way I stopped and took some shots of these lighthouses.

January 28 2004 -  Today is my last day in the Naples area, so I went up to the Cork Screw Preserve, great place with a lot of things to take pictures of. A boardwalk takes you on a 2.5 mile journey through marsh to swamp cypress to the big Bald Cypress, the largest stand of virgin Bald Cypress left in the US.

January 27 2004 -  When I got up this morning it was raining, so I decided to head out to Monroe Station, a loop road off highway 41. With the cloud cover and rain it was a great day to be out there taking pictures.

January 26 2004 -  Spent most of the day doing some paperwork, but got out in the afternoon to go down and catch the sunset out on the beach.

January 25 2004 -  Took a new road today. This area had that feeling that you would almost come across wild animals form Africa, everything is so open with clomps of trees and grasses ,and the warmth of the sun beating down on your back. After that I stopped at a farmers market to pick up some things for dinner, and loved the way these chilies were laying.

January 24 2004 -  I traveled back out into the Everglades again today, I love this swampy treed area, lots of wildlife and different kinds of vegetation.

January 23 2004 - Today I spent most of the day in Naples, walking the beaches in the afternoon. On one side multi million dollar homes, on the other these great log posts that are used to keep the sands from eroding away, some new some old.

January 22 2004 - Spent more time out in the swamps today. This time it was alligators and birds. You also have to watch out for snakes while you wade around out there.

January 21 2004 - Left Homestead this morning and started out for Naples, took the loop road off highway 41 and went out into the Everglades. Nice old gravel road with lots of things to see.

January 20 2004 - So I've been to the southern most point of the US, now it's time to go north back out of the Keys. This was one of the many bridges that you have to cross on the way out.

January 19 2004 - Left for Key West today. Stopped at a Botanical Garden along the way, I thought the pattern and color of these palms was great. The light house is the Faro Blanco Light in Marathon, FL.

January 18 2004 - Sunday morning at the show, people were starting to come in, but by 3:00 in the afternoon the rain had moved in.

January 17 2004 - Today was the first day of the Beaux Art Fair, Nice setting .

January 16 2004 - Made it into Miami today. Got to the show to set up around 3:00 in the afternoon, finally made it out of there at 10:30. The weather is supposed to be great for the weekend, Temp is going to be in the mid 70's!!! .

January 15 2004 - No new pictures today. It was pretty much just a strait drive from Mobile, AL to Kissimmee, FL. There wasn't much change in the scenery and I have to be in Miami by noon tomorrow to start setting up my booth for the art festival this weekend.

January 14 2004 - Left Dallas this morning, it was another foggy day. A lot of great old trees to shoot in the fog, when I stopped to look around I saw this small orchard of trees and with the orange grass, thought it looked good. By the afternoon I crossed the Mississippi, pulled over and took this shot looking back at Louisiana.

January 13 2004 - Started out the day shooting these old cars off route 66, and ended up chasing my shadow across New Mexico and Texas for 800 miles. What a Day.

January 12 2004 - I took a little side trip today. This was in the Valley of the Gods in southern Utah. The road is a 25 mile dirt trail, but has some great sites.

January 11 2004 - I finally got out of town yesterday, and had a pretty foggy drive ahead of me. I was up and on the road by 6:00 this morning though and caught a nice sunrise. I am now sitting in Moab, UT.

January 9 2004 - Today I will be starting on my first roadtrip of the year. I'm on my way to Florida.
