February 29, 2004 - I've waited 4 years for this and BAM!, it's gone, the 29th of February. Oh well, only 22 more days till the first day of spring. Things are just flying along. I spent the whole day out in my shop building frames, no time for pictures today.
February 28, 2004 - Had to go pick up more wood for frames up in Seattle today. This is Crosscut Hardwoods, where I get my wood for my frames. The second shot is of the planters in my front yard, and the tulips that are starting to come up. Soon it will be spring and my front yard will be full of color, I hope I am here to see some of it, being on the road as much as I am.
February 27, 2004 - I got a good start on my frames today, 30 down and only 130 left to go. The weather was not that bad either, a little rain off and on with some sun thrown in to get the tulips and other flowers to come up out in the yard.
February 26, 2004 - Today was my first full day back at the shop and I spent it running around picking up wood and other supplies to start making more frames for me, and also for an order of 100 more frames for another artist. It will be a busy next 18 days back home.
February 25, 2004 - Left Tampa today and flew home for a few weeks. I thought this first image was a real Out the Window shot. The airport in the second one is the United terminal at Chicago's O'Hare International.
February 24, 2004 - It was a rainy day in Tampa today, so we spent the day going to the museum of modern art and saw the glass exhibit that was there. In the afternoon it was time for lunch, and when your'e in Florida you have to have a piece of Key Lime pie. Then it was off to Orlando, where I will fly out of tomorrow. The weather was like this all the way there, which is around 80 miles away.
February 23, 2004 - What do you do after a long day of driving and hiking the beaches? You go to Woodies, in St. Petes Beach, FL, and have a couple of baskets of clams and grouper nuggets and a tuna salad, and then a few margaritas with a friend and watch the sunset.
February 22, 2004 - Day two of the show It was a warn one today, the high was around 85 degrees, it felt good to be under the shade of the trees. It was also the last day and time to tear down and get ready to move on. I thought that I might put on a few miles tonight, and get out of Naples . I'll head on up towards Tampa tomorrow.
February 21, 2004 - Day one, Naples Art Fair. Nice warm day, I'm glad my booth was under a huge tree, it gave me lots of shade. The first shot is from in front of the booth, where you see all the people. The other image is from the back side, where sometimes you go take a brake. After the show was over for the day several of us got together and went out for dinner. Then it's time to go get some sleep and get ready for another day, and then tear down at the end of it all.
February 20, 2004 - Today was setup day for the Naples National Art Festival, I got in there at 1:30 this afternoon and got out at close to 9:00 tonight. We are supposed to have great weather for the whole weekend with highs in the high 70's to low 80's, and no chance of rain. The setting is in a park in the old part of Naples, with lots of nice big old trees to give some shade if it does get as warm as they say it will.
February 19, 2004 - Left home today, and it was almost clear enough to see my house. This first image is from just about over Tacoma, WA. It was another long flight, I left home at 10:00 in the morning , and got into Tampa at 12:00 at night. By the time I got to a hotel, it was almost 2:00 in the morning, I had to sit on the freeway because of a wreck which had all lanes blocked. In the morning I will go back to the airport and pick up my box with art work and head on down to Naples.
February 18, 2004 - Took a little drive into Tacoma today, stopped by and saw some friends and then took the back way home. Went by Dons Market, a great place for sandwiches, I used to get one there every once in a while, and then headed down along the waterfront of Tacoma and the old grain elevators where they load the ships. And now I am getting ready to fly out tomorrow.
February 17, 2004 - Today I delivered some multi picture frames and to tripods for holding 32x40 inch framed pictures. Got myself a new printer, and sent out more applications for other shows. One more day to go and I'm back outa here.
February 16, 2004 - Finished up all my work today, got it all boxed up, and delivered it to the airport to be sent down to Tampa, where I will pick it up for my next show in Naples, FL. Up here we are getting that good old northwest rain with a few sun brakes in between to get you through the day.
February 15, 2004 - Today I did a few things around here and then took off and went out to visit mom. That was about it for the day.
February 14, 2004 - Happy Valentines Day, or at least it was. We finally got back into the rainy weather pattern, so it will be like this for the next few days, but at least it will be in the 50's. Not much else going on. Just the same things, getting my images ready for leaving, that's it.
February 13, 2004 - Friday the 13th, my lucky day. Not much going on, just the same old getting things done before I leave for Florida again this next week.
February 12, 2004 - Another beautiful day up here in the northwest. I spent the early part of the day finishing up some other frames and then spent the afternoon outside doing some things around the house and enjoying the sun.
February 11, 2004 - Ran up to Seattle today to pick up some things. It was another one of those rainy northwest days that everyone thinks we have. It was around 56 degrees here today. Mt. Rainier was also out looking good today to.
February 10, 2004 - I was going to take some pictures today but got side tracked trying to finish up on my frames. I will try and have some for tomorrow. It was a nice sunny day with the temperature getting almost up to 50 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be more of the same.
February 9, 2004 - More of the same, worked on picture frames and sprayed some lacquer . I should be done with them by tomorrow evening.
February 8, 2004 - Everyone has a chair, and this one belongs to Socks, my cat. She loves to be spun around in circles on it. So you've seen my woodshop, now this picture is of my matting room where everything gets put together.
February 7, 2004 - Spent the day finishing up some small frames, and then went inside and started doing some prints to fill those frames.
February 6, 2004 - So used to Eastern time that I was up at 5:00 in the morning, out in my shop working on frames. My first brake came and I headed for my favorite expresso stand. And it seems lately that everywhere I go it is raining.
February 5, 2004 - Another day without pictures, I will have to do something about that. Drove up to Seattle and picked up some supplies, came back home and started working on some new frames, what a way to spend your birthday.
February 4, 2004 - No pictures today. Spent the day at home taking care of some paperwork, not much else going on.
February 3, 2004 - No pictures today. Unless you want to see the inside of a airport. Spent most of the day sitting and flying. Started out at 11:00 in the morning, out of Tampa, and with all of the delays finally got home to Seattle at 10:30 last night. It was a long day.
February 2, 2004 - No pictures today. Drove down to Tampa, spent the afternoon catching up on paperwork. Found a hotel and will fly out to Seattle tomorrow.
February 1, 2004 - Another rainy day at the show, but at least it stopped by the time the show was over for tear down. Tomorrow it's time to head out to Tampa, and then fly home for two weeks.
