April 30, 2004 - Last day of April and the first day of setup for the Cottonwood Arts Festival. It was mostly cloudy through the day, and as evening rolled around it started to sprinkle a little. By around 11:00 that evening this was the scene outside the hotel window, it's hard trying to catch lighting with a digital camera, but after 54 images this was the best one I came up with. It was a pretly spectacular lighting show last night.

April 29, 2004 - I had the day off today, I thought I might be able to set up my booth at the show but they were still setting up the wiring for power so I wasn't able to. So I took off and headed up towards Oklahoma on 75. Stopped in the town of Denison, TX and got some shots that should work for new Wet prints. I liked this old hotel, pretty much the whole town is like this, lots of antique stores and an old railway station. It is also the home town of Dwight Eisenhower the 34th president of the United States. These roses were from along the fence line around the house.

April 28, 2004 - Left Seattle at 6:00 this morning and headed out to Dallas. I never get tired of the view of Mt. Rainier as I leave home. No wonder they call it the Mountain. So now I'm in Dallas for the Cottonwood Arts Festival this weekend, and then back home again.

April 27, 2004 - I'm done, I have been to the airport and shipped everything out and now all that is left is for me to get up at 3:30 in the morning and head up to the airport and fly away tomorrow and set up for a show in Richardson, TX .

April 26, 2004 - I have been matting pictures now since around 6:00 in the morning, I have around 15 more to do but I am taking a break to type this out. It is now almost 11:00 pm and I am starting to get a little tired, but will finish up doing the matting tonight, and then finish up the rest of the framing tomorrow morning. Then all I have to do is box them up and ship them out in the afternoon.

April 25, 2004 - Today, I did another coat of lacquer on the frames, and then headed out to moms to do some work on a cabinet I'm building for her. The weather has been outstanding around here this weekend, with the highs up into the mid seventies.

April 24, 2004 - I sprayed 50 frames today, I think that was about it for the frames. Now to let them sit and do another coat on them tomorrow.

April 23, 2004 - Today, I boxed up all the frames and shipped them out to California. Now I can work on my own stuff. Other than that, it was a nice day around here with a few showers in the morning, but became sunny by the afternoon. The weekend is supposed to be even better!

April 22, 2004 - Wow! what a nice day it was. I spent most of it in my shop building frames for my own work, and got to step outside every now and then to see a nice sunny day out there. I thought you might like the pictures of my yard with all the tulips blooming rather than looking at the inside of my shop. I really liked the second shot of the tulips, with the sun back lighting them, it really made them glow. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain and then get nice for the weekend.

April 21, 2004 - Frame, frame, frame, print, print, print, mat, mat, mat, man I can't wait to get out of here. It seems that this is all I have been doing. Well at least I am done with the one order of frames that has to be sent out, now I can work on my own stuff.

April 20, 2004 - All right, new pictures today, I bet you were getting a little tired of the old ones. I drove up to Seattle this morning and picked up some more lacquer, and a box of film for some prints I have to get out. Got back home and started back to work on the frames. I got one coat of lacquer on the frames, and tomorrow I will steel wool them off and give them another coat in the afternoon.

April 19, 2004 - Started staining frames today, first though, I had to run into Tacoma and get a few things for the sander so Radar could finish sanding the frames. Got done in the afternoon with the staining and now will let them sit until tomorrow, and then I will start shooting a clear lacquer on them.

April 18, 2004 - Well, I was wrong about getting some new pictures up, it was just to cloudy around the mountain for me to get any shots. I did go out to moms and had a good dinner and also got some work done on a cabinet I am working on.

April 17, 2004 - Finished up building the one order of frames and even got some of my own frames shot with lacquer. Tomorrow I will work for half of the day here and then go out to moms and do some things out there. I might even bring back some pictures to post on my site.

April 16, 2004 - Great day outside, but here I am inside building frames. There's something wrong with this picture. I should be out there hiking around Mt. Rainier or out at the coast, or somewhere taking pictures, instead here I am inside building frames. But I should be done by tomorrow with the one order, and then all I have to do is stain and shoot a clear lacquer over them and then just work on my own frames.

April 15, 2004 - Ran up to Seattle and picked up the rest of the wood to finnish up some frames for an order I had to fill. Now all I have to do is finnish building them and then I can go to work on my own frames. Today was one of those days where one minute it was raining and the next it was sunny, and it was around 60 degrees so it really wasn't that bad out there today.

April 14, 2004 - Today I started doing a new coating over the top of my images, using a gel medium which adds a little texture to my images and also provides more uv protection to the print. I have designs on a new framed piece, of which I will only do a few of for each show, and hopefully I will have a few done on my next time home.

April 13, 2004 - Can I use yesterdays sentence? Except for a few differences, it is another day just like yesterday. We did start to ge a few drops of rain here today, and it felt more like the normal weather around here. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little wetter.

April 12, 2004 - Another day, another frame. I think this is why it's so much fun to be on the road, while i'm here I will either be inside printing and cutting mats for pictures or outside in my shop building frames.

April 11, 2004 - Today was a beautiful day with the temperature getting up into the high 70's. But I spent most of the day inside working on my taxes for the year. I did manage to step outside ever so often, and got this shot of Socks getting into the catnip, and then I added another shot of the front yard.

April 10, 2004 - Another Day of being out in my shop and working on frames. I should be done with this set of frames pretty quick though, I will only be gone for one show and then I will be back home again.

April 09, 2004 - Wrong, no pictures, unless you want to see the inside of my shop again. I spent the day out there making frames for me and another artist.

April 08, 2004 - My first day home, all I did was pick up some wood for frames in Seattle and came back home. It was an exciting day paying bills and getting everything ready for me to start working on stuff again. I should have some more pictures to look at tomorrow.

April 07, 2004 - On the way home for a few weeks. This first image is from the first part of the flight, over western Texas, where all the rain and lighting have been this past week. I got in to Seattle around 11:00 in the morning and made it home to see all the tulips blooming. It feels good to come home, and see what your own place looks like. A friend of mine takes care of the place while I'm on the oad and does a fantastic job with the yard.

April 06, 2004 - It seems like I've crossed the Mississippi river more times this year than there are letters in the word Mississippi, and here I go again. I did get a nice shot of a 1941 Cadilac with the bridge over the Mississippi river in the background though. I took some back roads again, and got a few more shots that I found pretty interesting, but mostly I stuck to the main highway because I had to stop off at Love Field in Dallas and ship a box back home. The next image is of the skyline of Dallas, comming in on interstate 30 from the east. Tomorrow I will be out of here at 8:00 in the morning, and will get home and go to work on new stuff.

April 05, 2004 - Monday, on the road with real out the window pictures. This first image is from Georgia, heading towards Alabama on Interstate 20. The second image is from just outside of Montgomery Alabama. I have made it to Vicksburg, Mississippi for the night, and tomorrow I will cross the Mississippi River and head on towards Dallas TX.

April 04, 2004 - Sunday and the crowds were there again. This first image is from just outside of my booth, if you were out there you could be swept away. The second image shows you just how big the festival is, as it circled around Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta. Sunday was a windy day at the show, we battled 20 to 30 mile an hour winds for most of the day ,comming right in the front of the booth. Tomorrow I start back to Dallas, where I will fly out of, to head back home for a few weeks and build more frames and print more images before my next show.

April 03, 2004 - Saturday at the Dogwood Art Festival in Atlanta. Today we had some wonderful weather, a slight breeze and the high around 68 degrees, and tons and tons of people. If you step outside your booth you can get swept away with the crowds. Tomorrow should be more of the same.

April 02, 2004 - First day at the festival, it started at noon today and went until 7:00 at night. A regular Friday at the show, it wasn't to crowded but a lot of people came and stopped in the booth. Tonight was also the artist dinner, this second image is from out in the courtyard where the dinner was held. Lots of food, and lots of artist's. All came to eat and talk.

April 01, 2004 - Made the trip into Atlanta today, although it took a while to get through this traffic. I finally made it into the show and got set up . This second image is from the park where the show is, with the view of downtown Atlanta. tomorrow the show starts at noon.
