August 31, 2004 - I could say the same things again, just as I did yesterday but then that would be just a little to much, so today lets just say that I'm still doing the same thing only I have less time to do it in, because I will have to load up tomorrow night and head to Portland Friday morning. Now I have to get back to work.

August 30, 2004 - Today, work, work, work, that's all all I do around here, getting ready for my next trip to Portland, for Art in the Pearl. You may think this is exactly what I said yesterday, and you are right. But then that's what I am doing.

August 29, 2004 - Today, work, work, work, that's all all I do around here, getting ready for my next trip to Portland, for Art in the Pearl.

August 28, 2004 - This morning I was finally able to pull my box out of my van and get the tarps and top for my booth out and set them up for drying out after my last wet show. So I set up the whole booth and gave it all a good scrub down and left it out for the day to dry. Next I ran up to Seattle and did some shots for some friends that are getting married in two weeks, so we ran around the Seattle area and took some pictures. While running around the different areas I saw these fish, and with their brite orange coloring I thought they looked pretty cool. I might have to come back down again sometime and do some more work here.

August 27, 2004 - Today i got some printing done and also put the coating over my small prints. now my next set is some 7x9 inch images, and to do them as single tile pieces.

August 26, 2004 - More running around today, getting things done for my next set of shows. While I was on the road, it was sunny, and warm, but now since I have been back we have been getting some rain and the tempature has only been the 60's and low 70's.

August 25, 2004 - Sorry, no pictures today, it was my first day home from being on the road. I just did a lot of running around taking care of things and getting ready to start making more art for my shows.

August 24, 2004 - Started on my final leg home today, and as I drove by Sprague, WA, I thought that I might stop in and maybe reshoot some places and things that I had done there before. But things change, one of the images I wanted to redo was a Creamo Cigar sign painted on the side of an old brick building, and when I went to shoot it they had tried to repaint it and it looked terrible, and then there was an old 70's smashed and junked car sitting in front of it. But I did score and found these old General Moters trucks sitting in this place where I was able to walk around them and take some pictures, so I might have some new truck images to use for my pictures.

August 23, 2004 - Left for Spokane this morning, and had some sun for a change. When I left Jackson Hole I had some snow as I went over the pass. So todays images are as I traveled through Idaho and Montana on my way home.

August 22, 2004 - Rain, Rain, Rain, it seems as if I have said this before. This was a very wet show, with cool weather. But now it's over and time to head out , and go home. So the images of the day are of a shot outside my booth and of the start of tear down after the show. By the time I got out of there tonight I was one soaked puppy.

August 21, 2004 - Saturday morning at the show and people are starting to come into the art fair. At least this morning we have no rain. We made it through most of the day with just one little sprinkle of rain, but they say that by tomorrow morning we will have thunder storms moving inand that by noon it will be a steady rain until early evening. I hope they are wrong, other wise it will be a wet tear down that afternoon.

August 20, 2004 - Rain, rain, rain, the first day of the show and we get some big thunder and lightning storms comming through. Tomorrow and the rest of the weekend are going to be a little better, only around 30% chance of rain or thunder. So these are the images for the day, Wish for better weather tomorrow.

August 19, 2004 - I spent the night in Thermopalois, and then had a nice drive down to Jackson Hole. The first part of the drive was a very scenic drive through the Wind River Canyon, a drive of around 20 miles with over 200 foot high walls of granite and limestone above you and a big river along the side. That afternoon I got into Jackson, and started setting up my booth. As I was setting it up the storm clouds were rolling in, and by the time I had the booth part set up the clouds unleashed their fury, for about 1/2 an hour lots of rain and wind. The images for the day are of the drive down through the canyon this morning and of the rain at the show this afternoon.

August 18, 2004 - Left Chamberlain, South Dakota this morning and headed on towards the Bad Lands for a few more shots. On the way I stopped back by the Okaton grain elevator and got a shot of it on a sunny day. The wind was blowing pretty good and when you stood out there beside the elevator, and with the old railroad tracks there, it almost could take you back in time. That afternoon I got into Wyoming and went over a new pass that took me on a new road towards Jackson Hole. As I drove around this corner I came across this old barn, and with the sun going down and the red hills in the background, I thought it would make the perfect picture. Tomorrow I will head out over one more pass and get into Jackson around noon.

August 17, 2004 - Another day on the road. Today I went through a few small towns when I came across these maniquins in this old store front window, it looks like they were out shopping for pants and a shirt for the boy for school. Later in the day, more towards evening, I made it across the Missouri River. Tomorrow I will make it back through the Bad Lands again.

August 16, 2004 - Headed out today for Jackson Hole, WY for my next show this comming weekend. So now it's back out onto the county roads again and to see what lies ahead for me to take pictures of. And then it was back over a bridge across the Mississippi River for what seems like the hundredth time this year. I don't have to be in Jackson until Thursday, so I will be able to take a new path there.

August 15, 2004 - Day two of the fair, and thought I would wonder around before the day started and say hi to a few friends. In this first image I came across Andrew, a painter who was working on some small pieces, I've seen him paint before and always thought it would be an interesting shot of his hand, because of his use of it as a pallet for his paints. The second image is of all the people who came out for the art fair again today.

August 14, 2004 - First day of the show , lots of people and good weather. Tomorrow we will be getting more of the same, and just a little bit warmer. Todays images are of the area that the show is at and the people that were there.

August 13, 2004 - Got into Chicago today and up to Glenview where the art fair will be this weekend. I started setting up at around 3:00 this afternoon and finally got out of there at around 10:30 this evening. This is a first year show in a area that was once a navel air base, and is now part of a big mall / housing area north of town. It has been cool all week long with some rain, but for the weekend it is going to go up into the 70's with mostly sunny days. The images of the day are of my setup for the show.

August 12, 2004 - Today I switched lakes and went down the west side of Lake Michigan. I did pick up a few rocks as I went along, but today I spent most of the day looking for a few Light Houses to shoot. It was another cloudy, on again off again rainy day, but luckily for me the sun was out at most of the light houses I took pictures of. The first image is of the Pt. Betsie light house, the second one is of the Little Sable Pt. light house. I think these might end up as some images for my wet print process.

August 11, 2004 - Rocks, Rocks, Rocks, after three days of driving and hiking along the shores of Lake Superior I have finally started to head back towards Chicago for my next show this comming weekend. As I leave Superior I have also taken a part of her with me, I have a five gallon bucket filled with all sorts of different colored stones from along the shore. Each area that I stopped at had a differerent variety and color of stone. None of the other lakes has this big of a difference in types of rocks , I will have to ask someone when I get back home and find out why. So anyway I thought that I would put a few of those rocks on display for the rest of you to look at.

August 10, 2004 - Got up this morning to the sound of rain, and thought , all right what a great day for taking pictures. So I ended up spending the whole day up on Lake Superior, driving along on roads on the edge of the lake. One road was 75 miles of dirt road that was a wash board all the way. But I did get some nice shots, and also collected some great rocks from along the shore. Todays images ars two of many shots that I took from along the length of the lake. By the late afternoon it had finally quit raining and I finally got a few sun brakes in a few of my images.

August 9, 2004 - On the road again, this time up toward Lake Superior. I have a few days in between my next show so I am on my way up to the Picture Rocks area on the lake, and also to get some new images of some light houses while I'm there. While I was on the road today I stopped along lake Michigan to shoot a rainbow that was out over the water, but by the time I finally got the image you could barely see it anymore, oh well what you gonna do. So I thought it was a nice shot out over the lake anyway. the next image is of one of the many light houses that are around the lake, this one is in the town of Escanaba, and is called the Sand Point Light House.

August 8, 2004 - Sunday, and it's a nice sunny day out there today. Another day with a lot of people out at the fair wondering around enjoying the art and the weather. Today I did my shots out the back of my booth, It was a nice space to have back there, with the pond and then the lake to give you some cool air with the breeze. By the time I finally left after tearing down it was almost 10:00 o'clock, and then with stopping and getting some juice to drink it was 11:00 by the time I returned to my hotel. Tomorrow I will get together with some friends and have lunch, and then figure out what I will do for the rest of the week until my next show here again, next weekend.

August 7, 2004 - Day one at the art fair, the weather was nice and sunny as the show started out, but as the day went along it got more and more overcast. They say that tomorrow will be a sunny day with a few clouds and a high of around 84 degrees. The first image of today is from out on a jetty looking back towards the art fair, while the second image is of all my new work up on the walls in my booth.

August 6, 2004 - Got into Chicago today and started my booth setup for the art festival this weekend. The show location is right down on the shore in a little park on Lake Michigan. The images for today are of my booth, and some of my new work on the walls.

August 5, 2004 - After spending the night in FT. Dodge, I took off this morning and headed on towards Dubuque, Iowa. On the way I stopped in on one of Frank Loyd Wrights homes called, Cedar Rock. This is where I took the picture of the boat, it belonged to the original owner of the house. After that, I headed on down the road to the Mississippi River, which I ended up following down to Davenport. On the way I shot this old store which is in the only town in Iowa that is on an Island.

August 4, 2004 - Another day on the road. It started out as a cloudy, kinda drizzly day, but made for some nice shots. This first one was from an old town that was now without any people living there. I got several shots from different angles, and it wasn't until after I had gone down the road a ways that I noticed that there was a smudge on the lens, but it gave a nice soft look to the top of the image. By the time I was driving in Iowa this afternoon it had turned into a sunny day. The second image is from one of the county roads that I was driving down, with lots of good old Iowa corn.

August 3, 2004 - I left Billings this morning, and headed out on Interstate 90. I usually go to Chicago on 94 but thought I would go down through the Bad Lands this time. My first stop this morning was to get a little java to get me down the road, this first shot is after I pulled out and headed out onto a road construction project. The first 10 miles were a washboard road, after that it was smooth sailing all the way to South Dakota. Then I ran into several rain sqwalls with lightening mixed in. I spent the afternoon going through the Bad Lands, and with the clouds and rain, had some good lighting for my pictures. Towards the end of the day, as I was leaving the park, I came across my second image, this shot of a rainbow, and that was it for the day.

August 2, 2004 - Finally, out on the road and on my way. I am now in Billings Montana and will start posting some more pictures of my trip bytomorrow night. today I went through to thunder and lighting storms and hit a lot of rain going through them. It was nice to see the rain because it had been in the 90's as I drove. Tomorrow I will start taking some side roads as I cut down into Wyoming and on over into South Dakota.
